Leo Maloney's top 5 CNY fish photos and 1 bonus
New York State offers great fishing opportunities, including for some trophy sized fish, all within a short distance of central New York. Get out and experience it for yourself. Here are five examples.
Largemouth bass:
I caught this Largemouth bass from small lake in the Central Adirondacks while fishing from a kayak using "Sinking WormLs."
King salmon:
I caught this King salmon taken trolling Lake Ontario near Point Breeze aboard "Lure Em Charters."
Steelhead from winter 2011:
A Steelhead trout taken in January on the Salmon River by float fishing with Chris Mulpagano.
Airondack brook trout:
I took this Brook trout in the St. Regis Canoe Area of the northern Adirondacks using a "Wooly Bugger" fly.
Smallmouth bass:
Smallmouth bass taken on the St. Lawrence River using live shiner as bait. Of course, central New York is not the only place with great fishing. Here's a fish caught in America's far north-west.
This is a 40 pound king salmon caught on the Nushagak River in western Alaska.
